I like to reflect on all the things I’m thankful for pretty regularly, so Thanksgiving is not a big deal to me. I am thankful for the fact my kids are so great. I am thankful for the fact I actually work in a great job, with people who actually are good at what they do, aren’t egotistical about that fact, and hunker down and get their shit done. I am thankful that Holly and I have built a great marriage, navigated a few occasional rough waters, and are as close as we’ve ever been… plus I’m thankful that her ass is bumpin’.
I am also thankful for you dear reader.
As of November 24 I’ve had 218,513 views (and am up to about 500-900 views per day – WhoWouldaThunk) after being around about fifteen months. I started blogging because I needed an outlet, to vent, to share. I don’t, and still don’t, really care if anyone reads – I don’t get that many comments (the most commented post is the skinny husband, fat wives one that really riled up some people. I take that as a sign some people actually read my shit). I used to journal, and this is basically a public version of that. But I am thankful that you might find a few minor bits of information entertaining or enlightening, or maybe justify your own thoughts on what marriage and family life may be.
My life is far from perfect, but blogging has actually helped it quite a bit. In combination with my change in thinking with the Red Pill, my wife (who reads this blog) has been a big advocate of what I write. Sure, there are some things she disagrees with and we have conversations about topics, but overall, being open in this endeavor has strengthened my marriage… and made me about $75 over the last year from people who buy things from Amazon (my only real device I make any income from… see Disclaimer link at the header), which at least pays for my service. I’ve turned down opportunities for advertising and even appearing on radio shows. At this stage, I just want to write and hopefully benefit someone, anyone.
If you are still reading this, thank you for reading, from the bottom of my heart. I want to thank those that have helped me in navigating my own waters, or connected with me, in various ways over the year. Thank you PonyBoy (please, please start blogging again-yours was my favorite of all time), Bea, Chuck, Carnivore, Adam, Peregrine John, and Jay Dee, and everyone else who takes the time to read my drivel (was even linked to Sunshine Mary – Thanks!) most days. Also, Ian, Athol and RedPillWifey. I hope the following year is better than the last for your marriage, with your kids, job, health and life in general. Peace.
